PreTeXt (pretextbook.org) is an XML vocabulary for writing textbooks, research articles, and monographs.
Integration with WeBWorK
A PreTeXt project can include WeBWorK exercises. As with the WeBWorK sample chapter, the project can be:
- processed into HTML,
- processed into a PDF,
- processed into PG problems, set def files, and set header files,
- which can be used in WeBWorK in the usual way.
In HTML, the WeBWorK problems can behave in a number of ways, including as live embedded problems or as static versions.
PreTeXt Books Using WeBWorK Integration
- Open Resources for Community College Algebra (ORCCA) is a basic and intermediate algebra textbook.
- Active Calculus is an inquiry-based learning calculus textbook.
