| I moved to New Orleans, LA, in 1996, and have been a math faculty member at Xavier University of Louisiana since 1998.

| My teaching interests are currently centered on redesigning the first year math courses (including developmental math), in order to improve student success and retention. I am the director of a 3-year, $800,000 project funded by the Louisiana Board of Regents to carry out this program at Xavier University.

| I have begun using WeBWorK in spring 2009, and I am currently experimenting with a system that directly connects WeBWorK (through a modified "Email your instructor" button) to the MathNerds Mentoring Network web site.
